David Kirkpatrick Este Bruce was an American diplomat, intelligence officer and politician. During World War II, he was considered one of the three most strategically important intelligence officers at the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), with tens of thousands of personnel under his command, and the lives of secretly-deployed spies and special operators operating behind enemy lines under his direct supervision.
